A slog of a day across choppy seas of Baffin Bay. Not as bad as other rough seas we have had, but we are so close to a nice beer, that the yacht doesn’t want to get there before closing time !
You have to be so careful in these seas. Always holding on. Poor Constance who is built like a whippet, had wet hands coming off watch, got into the saloon and lost grip. She crashed through the door of one of the bunks and took the door of its hinges !!
Three people felt sea sick, and one was gracious to be sick outside, that’s after being hardened by some pretty nasty weather on the way, so just shows what it was like.
I have been blessed with no sea sickness from day one. Partly because I never take my wrist seabands off. I have no idea how they work or in fact if it’s just psychological but it has worked for me.
A few ice bergs on the radar and we had the rock of Gibraltar during the day, a huge lump of ice.
The currents take them from the glaciers of Greenland up the coast, hence it’s christened iceberg alley, and then they travel down the coast of Baffin.
So, this is my last watch. Out of Vodka for midnight, but I think my comrade has found some cooking rum to toast the new day, and hopefully the village of Uppernavik in the morning.
I will carry on with my blogs until I catch my flight home but tonight I will sleep well. Mission nearly accomplished.

Well done, David and all on board!
Just seen that the tracker has you n Upernavik now, so beer available, I hope.
In a week I should be joining Northabout in Nuuk. What a thought!
I felt horribly seasick yesterday and that was on a coach journey to Dorset! Reminded me to never set sail on a small boat. Have very much enjoyed your blogs.
What a great trip.
Sounds like you all had a fun time.
Well done to all.
Safe journey home.
