Lucked out on my watches. Just getting really dark at midnight when I get off, and first light at 8 in the morning. Wind has died down. Doing 6 knots. Genoa flapping.
Looked at ice charts. Our short cut through Prince of Wales Sound is blocked by multi year ice, so the southern route for us to Cambridge Bay.
Big mile stone last night, Cape Bathurst. Going into Amundsen Sound. Swell died down from Beaufort sea.
Water temp is much lower, is that because of the difference of the warmer river temps ? or are we seeing a definite change in the season?

Hi Hempie and Crew
Amazing to get all the reports on progress and seeing first hand the routes explored in the 19th Century
-the hardships they must have endured going literally into the unknown and so many never coming back.
Oops sorry thats a rather gloomy comment. What is your ETA in Greenland!
Wish you fair winds and good sailing. Holiday Bob
