We have departed the very hospitable and friendly crew in Westport, NORTHABOUT’S home port, and what a great two days it was. After crossing the North Atlantic we needed a break, the aim of the stop was to address the following issues:
Halyard sheave fail-replace and rotate halyard with topping lift Fuel feed issue, resolved. Nav lights check bulbs and wiring. General safety equipment check. Running rigging check. Standing rig check. Systems check. Tidy up and make-and-mend. Personal administration. Rest and recovery
All done and we even had time for a pint of Guinness, a meal, and a song or two, heartfelt and sincere thanks Jarlath and Dr Mike, and Tom you guys are Simply The Best.
Sad farewell to Andrew, who is off to the Carribean.
