We knew Polar Bound was in the area and we came across him this morning. A very nice chat, useful information about the ice ahead and an invitation to meet him in Cambridge Bay which we sadly had to decline as we have to get on.
Benjamin hurt his ankle quite badly last May at a paragliding festival in the Lake District – he was playing chase, the paragliding was over! It has suddenly got worse over the last 36 hours so he has his foot in a bucket of very cold sea water. Take the grin as a grimace.
